What BSTP’s About

Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol (BSTP) is dedicated to giving sea turtles the best chance at survival. As an award-winning nonprofit, our volunteers monitor nests, assist injured turtles, and help hatchlings reach the ocean safely. Supported by community donations, we work to ensure a bright future for these incredible creatures. BSTP is the only organization authorized by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to carry out this vital work in our area.

BSTP relies on generous donations from people like you and help with keeping our beaches  CLEAN, DARK & FLAT

• CLEAN the beach by picking up trash and debris—turtles can mistake it for food.

• Keep the beach DARK by avoiding flashlights or flash photography at night, which can disrupt nesting.

• Ensure a FLAT beach by filling in holes and smoothing out ruts—turtles need a clear path to nest and return to the ocean.

Remember: Leave no trace behind. Take all your belongings with you, and give nesting turtles the space they need to thrive.
